Ever have one of those weeks, the dishwasher broke down again, the sink backs up, the kids get colds and now the house looks like it rained snotty toilet paper wads, you get the picture. I also have this adorable 4 yr. old who is a self proclaimed invalid. She can't do anything. She can't get dressed, she can't clean her room, she can't/won't eat the dinner I made her, she can't find socks, etc...... Yesterday, my ingenious children played pick nick in the tree house portion of the swing set out back. They also played in the saw dust from Daniel's latest project under the open air shop/car port and tracked it into the kitchen I have mopped every other day this week, but that is another rant. They left it all there when they got too cold and saw dustie to stay out any longer. Then late last night Katie remembers her water bottle and wants one of us to get dressed and go out in the dark and cold to get it for her, because she is too scared, and she can't. Aaaarrg! Well, I drew the line and got her a glass of water and told her to cope! Then this morning after I ran the girls to school early so we could have breakfast there (give me my taxes back, thank you) and came home to make Daniel an omelette, Katie got a glass of leftover chocolate milk out and drank some and set it on the edge of the table. I have told her so many times that she needs to finish something or put it away. I had also told her to get her coat off the floor and put it away. But, nobody listened to me, I am just the mean lady who gets to do all the stuff she can't! Along comes Ben, he grabs the cup off the edge of the table and dumps chocolate milk all over him, the table, the fresh moped floor, and Katie's coat! I wish I had a great shot of this whole crazy fiasco, it played out like a scene from some insane sit com, but all I can say is; I told you so! And while my mom chuckles at this and thinks of how glad she is to be done with this part of her life, I am sure she could say to me also; I told you so!
